MULAN’S EID-UL ADHA MESSAGE: EXPLOIT THE OCCASION OF THIS YEAR’S EID TO PRAY ALLAH FOR PEACE AND TRANSQUILITY IN THE LAND

Date: 10th Dhul-Hijjah, 1443 AH (9th July, 2022)

On behalf of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN), the National President, Prof. Abdulqadir Ibrahim Abikan, congratulates and felicitates with Muslim lawyers and the entire Muslim ummah for the privilege of being alive to witness this year's Eid-ul Adha. Eid ul Adha is significant to Muslims; it is not only an acknowledgment of loyalty, obedience, sincere devotion and sacrifice in the path of Allah but also an occasion for friends and families to gather and celebrate.

The president noted that this year’s Eid-ul-Adh offers yet another opportunity for us Muslims to pray and worship Allah; to seek forgiveness and reinforce our relationship with Allah; to strengthen our ties with our kinsmen and our bond of brotherhood to one another. The president therefore enjoins the Muslims to imbibe the virtues of the Eid by being loyal and obedient to Allah, by devoting themselves to His worship and by sacrificing in His Cause.

Muslim lawyers and indeed the entire Muslim ummah are urged to use the occasion and pray to Allah to assist us as a nation so that we can overcome our numerous challenges. The president also urges the Muslims to exploit the opportunities to pray Allah to bestow us with good leaders within the legal profession and the country at large; leaders who will be just in their rein and who will have His taqwa to preside over us with mercy. Muslims should pray Allah to rectify our affairs and endow us with excellent leadership as well as good followership. We should all pray Allah for peace and tranquility in the country. May Allah restore peace and security in our land.

Finally, on behalf of MULAN, the National president wishes all Muslim lawyers and the entire Muslim ummah a joyful celebration.
